By 1985 it was a well-established company with an office in Beijing and sales exceeding $3 million. It was incorporated in California in 1985 as VALTEX International Corporation and is still a California corporation.

At around this time VALTEX expanded to the USSR (Russia and 15 Republics) and by 1990 opened an office in Moscow followed two years later by an office in St. Petersburg, the second largest city in Russia.
